Santini Residence represents a unique piece of luxury situated in the very centre of Prague, in one of the most beautiful streets of the city and in the walking distance to Prague Castle being the biggest castle complex worldwide, famous Charles Bridge and many more. The Residence building dates from the 17th century and even nowadays you might admire painted ceilings, wooden joists and original arches.

History of the house number 211, where the Santini Residence is currently situated, dates back to 17th century.
Valkounský house no. 14 is named after the owner knight Bohuchval Valkoun from Adlar from the beginning of 17th century. The house was rebuilt in 16th century, same as neighbouring houses after fire in 1541, according to early-baroque project of Kryštof Dientzenhofer. It was bought in 1601 by Kašpar, brother of Kaplíř from Sulevice, executed on the Old Town Square. The house acquired developed baroque shape during 1705 - 1727, when it was owned by a famous baroque architect Jan Santini Aichel. From his work preserved just curly cornices to these days. When Santini died, renowned goldsmith Diesbach bought the house in auction sale and built up third floor. Left entrance is completed by a Medusa relief, beyond the right entrance, there is a cartouche and a small head next to it. Above the second floor windows, there is an oval cartouche with the painting of Virgin Mary and the Holy Trinity. Functional sundial is placed on the façade in the inner block.
